Does any one know what excelsior courses the cpcu exams translate into? I have been going back and forth with them for over a week and they seem to not want to tell me because I am not a current student.

Hopefully the ACE guide is accurate:
ACE CREDIT | The National Guide to College Credit for Workforce Training As an example, a graduate from this forum took CPCU 540 Corporate Finance and earned 3 UL credits in the Applied Professional category in the school of Liberal Arts for about $250. I have no idea how this student knew about these exams. Where did you learn about them? (CPCU stands for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters.)
AS in 2010 and BS in 2013 at Excelsior College - Transcripts and Costs
MS Biostatistics in 2019 at Texas A&M University - Graduate School Sharing Credit-by-Exam* and Help for Veterans Resources Used - 20+ Exams Passed & General GRE Practice Tests - Available for CLEP and DSST * Link posted with permission from forum admin; thank you!

NAP Wrote:Hopefully the ACE guide is accurate: I used to work in the insurance industry and have decided to get back into it. CPCU is THE designation to have in P&C insurance so I figured its a two for one deal (certification and credits). Excelsior finally sent me some information as to how the credits would apply but it still does not specify exactly which classes they give credit for. It looks like I can use them for misc business electives for my accounting degree and that I might be able to also get a bachelors in risk management & insurance as well. |
