If you took something called a quiz - no. I don't remember the term they use but it isn't quiz. After you take the test you are given a percentage. If you then go to the pie, before doing any more work and calculate the percentage and it's over 70% you're gravy. If you're in doubt, go to ACE and claim the credit. All they can say is no.

Ideas Wrote:An assessment will be anywhere from 15-35 or more questions. They change the length of the test if you are getting questions wrong. You need 70% or more correct. Wrong on the 70%. You don't need 70% on any exam. You need to successfully complete 70% of the topics in the course. Why do people find this so difficult? Perhaps they need better instructions. Maybe the problem is they look upon it as a course while some people want to look upon it as an exam.

You need to get 70% on an assessment to pass the course. Even if you worked through 100% of the pie, if you can't get a 70% on a single assessment, you can't pass the course.

Ok, I have just 13% in Blue which shows as Progress Assessment in the Master Account. What does that mean?

I guess the assessment is the same as the quiz right?

You need to work through more of the pie, to start getting closer to 70% (working through the course will get your a GREEN line and %), and then when you are closer and think you can get a 70% on an assessment, you can take it again. As you complete about 12% of the course, ALEKS will send through an assessment automatically, but if you're getting upwards of 60% of the course finished, and think you might be able to pass, you can go into the master account and "force" an assessment for the student, as many times as you want. I personally just found it easier to work through the course, and actually went to 100% on both Beginning Algebra and Intermediate Algebra, knowing that I was going to have to pass College Algebra too.

As per your reply, I have already completed more than 12% of the course but I didn't get any automatic assessment. I did the quiz and score 75%. Is the assessment the same as the quiz ?

It is not. You have 58% more to go. A "QUIZ" as ALEKS calls it means nothing. It is not an assessment. |
