NA degree transfer to TESU?

Without those FEMA credits though. The poster already has the credit bank on TESU. They would be starting over with EC and have to submit and pay for all transcripts again. They would be starting the process completely over which takes time and costs money. And they would not have the FEMA credits without paying an arm and a leg.

Have you thought about continuing in Data Science since you're taking the Eastern MS Data Science?

While we're on topic of the Eastern MS Data Science, I read your last post on the sister board.  It seems you're interested in the Eastern MBA as well.  I guess being having some GI benefits left and having some time to do your "Life Long Learning Plan", it's great to see what options there are.  I would suggest finishing one at a time before jumping onto the other...

I would take some time to focus on what you want to do in the next few years.  I also am into "Life Long Learning" and my plans are in all directions depending on my moods and situation, it changes... I would recommend to see what your interests are and go with that interest, be it Business, IT, or whatever.  You don't really need the second Bachelors when you can go for a Masters, some with entry level prerequisites required.

This might be of interest to you after your Eastern MS Data Science: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...USD-1-Year

Hey! Doesn't seem like my post replies were actually coming to my inbox so I need to fix that. And the EU Data Science program is going well. The layout/delivery of the course is awesome I'm learning alot, currently Python/Pandas/Numpy and more in the first course. The thing is I'm retired from the military and I'm only 35. So I don't have to work besides my kids I have a lot of time on my hands.

For example, EU course are self paced 7 weeks long. You can complete the class as long as you do the work/reading etc. So this class just started June 28th and I'm due to finish this one by Monday, again alot of time on my hands. And my next one doesn't start till mid August.

So doing the cleps for the TESU degree inbetween my classes will work for me. And I want to learn, I feel that Master degrees (besides the one i'm currently in which is geared to ppl with no experience) are mostly theory i.e a Master in CS would be more theory based vs a bachelors in CS where you'll learn a lot of technically  aspects, but correct me if I'm wrong.

I've talked to a few ppl in this course and a few of them are actually doing another masters or bachelors at another school while attending EU. I wouldn't mind another self paced, cheap, accelerated master degree in CS but I never could find one that was cheap, EU is only $10k.

Still think you for mentioning the other post!

Aside from WGU I haven't stumbled across many master's CBE programs. I hope these grow!

The ExcelTrack are the CBE programs at PUG.

Thank you!

I feel like WGU is mainly geared towards people working in the field otherwise from what I've researched you'll find it tough to progress through the course work.  Puredue global is rather expensive per credit hour.

And NAU program is amazing! the Master in CS with emphasis in mobile development would have been my goal too. I do have plenty of app ideas in my head but no training to create them so that plan would have work. And yes there's a problem lol they require a regionally accredited degree for admission.

But thank you! I searched the net, couldn't find a master degree that was accelerated i.e 8 week courses or less. That could be completed within 1 or 1 1/2 years. That was also cheap and geared towards new learners. The only degree that fit that was EU's DS degree. Which lead me to asking about the TESU route for a BS in CS.

Thank you!

At Purdue Global you pay a flat term fee not per credit in the ExcelTracks. It's $1700 per 6 week term. You complete as many credits as you can in a term. They don't have a limit.

If you complete your TESU degree then you have an RA degree to get you into that NAU program!

I, too, wish there were a lot more CBE programs. I LOVED this format when I was at UMPI. I'm now in grad school and back on a weekly schedule and I don't feel like I get nearly as much done. I feel very restricted and constantly checking deadlines which is stressful. I really hope CBE programs grow in the near future. My hope is that Covid kicked some academia officials in the pants as a wake up call. Adults students make up the majority of college students and have for decades. They need to start listening to us!

ETA: Brandman has some bachelor's degrees that you may be interested in. I don't think they accept NA credit. They're a CBE program with a flat fee per term. I know they accept CLEP and military ACE credit. They accept ACE credits but their website doesn't give specifics such as Sophia or Study.com. Might be worth looking into if you're interested in one of these programs.
