Yesterday, I took the leap and took my 1st Clep exam. Although, I do feel I was somewhat at an advantage because it was the Spanish Clep and I'm a native speaker. I was reading in the forum and was encouraged to give it a try not only by my fellow forum compatriots but by Todd Siben, my advisor at TESC.
That being said, It took me about an hour and a half to complete and I scored a 71 out of a potential max of 80. It was pretty straight forward, anyone looking to get some quick / easy credits with a basic understanding of Spanish "should" be able to pass this Clep.
Upon the advise of this forum as well, I have completed 5 Alek's course Assessments for credit in Math. I now have 94 credits and looking to complete my bachelors in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness.
I would like to potentially switch majors but do not want to lose the credits I already have, any suggestions.
Thank you guys all soo much. It took me a while to get the hang of the "system" or "game" but I'm well on my way.

I'm not real familiar with what will duplicate and stuff like that, but there is a Natural Science CLEP for 6 credits as well as Biology for 6 too.....just an option. Hopefully someone with a little more knowledge can come along and help you.

Congratulations Watch out you may become addicted to testing out! I took the Natural Science CLEP it would give you 6 credits but it is half Bio. If you can do bio what about that CLEP? Have you taken a computer course? That can also go to Math/science area.

Keep going. Get the REA books and read up then hit instantcert to study and save your last REA practice test for last. When ready to take the CLEP, just do the last REA test and see how you scored. If you do well on a REA test you have never seen, you will pass the CLEP. Plus after you finish that last test, you can study the ones you got wrong.
This has worked for me and I have never failed a CLEP/DSST and my lowest score was a 68.
I just completed reading the nat sci REA CLEP book and it was interesting and not too hard. Now I am studying for it over at speedyprep.com since instantcert doesn't cover it.

I'm thinking of taking a science course at my local community college ONLY because Science is definitely not my strong suit. I enjoy it, I like watching science stuff on t.v. but not really interested in doing it in class.
On a scale of 1-10, how hard do you think the Natural Sciences or Here's to your Health DSST exam is to take?
What study guides, methods has anyone used?
