Hi! I looked up World Conflicts in the search section. But have not seen any recent posts. So I would like to know if anyone has taken this exam recently. This is a great post with alot of great information, just want to make sure the exam hasn't changed from past reviews.
I am planning on taking this exam after Western Civilization.. is there any overlap? And is there any Social Science that will have alot of overlap.. I'm thinking rise and fall of the soviet union?? Any information much appreciated!

Hi there,
I'm currently studying for this test and I've taken many history exams (I'm a History major). CLEP American History 1 and 2, CLEP Western Civ. 1 and 2, DSST Civil War and Reconstruction, DSST History of Vietnam, DSST Rise and Fall of USSR, DSST Intro to the Modern Mid East. Should these help and what else should I focus on? Also how long did you study for this test? Well I did it. I passed this test with a "B". I only read Stoessinger's book, but I had taken several other history CLEPs and DSSTs. The one thing that caught me by surprise was reference to conflicts in Africa. I completely winged these questions.
But the good news is that even with a rudimentary understanding of the conflicts of the 20th century, you will pass this test. I would recommend Ziegler's book along with Nye, because Stoessinger is lacking on theory. Best of luck and you got this.

How's the 24-Q PT in the ECE fact sheet? I got 83% on it. Also how helpful is the full-length PT that you can buy for $25? Is it worth the money?

Um, ok. I just got 66% on my 2nd ECE PT (got 58% on the first one). I'm guessing that may be because the test (and PT) were recently refreshed and as far as I know, I'm the first to take either since, so obviously the content has changed some...or a lot. And maybe the SEF tips (which I've been using a lot to study from) are somewhat outdated. We'll see. So, if anyone has recent info on this test, please chime in!!!
