Shmoop and COSC
#1
Hi Guys,

I have a quick(ish) question for anyone who knows anything about COSC.  I was one of the unlucky ones that was plugging away at Shmoop courses just as TESU decided not to accept them.  I was going for an English degree with TESU, but that definitely isn't happening now.  I have 39 credits from Shmoop, and I'm debating about what do/have no idea what to apply them to.  I was thinking of doing the COSC psych major, but I'm not really sure about how they operate.  If anyone has any advice for me, or a degree plan that involves shmoop I'd really appreciate it!

my credits (sadly) are as follows:

American Literature
British Literature
Holocaust Literature
Introduction to Biology
Literature in the Media
Modernist Literature
Psychology 101
Shakespeare in Context
Shakespeare's Plays
U.S. History: 1492 - 1877
U.S. History: 1877 - Present

Western Literature
Women's Literature

If you pay the $75 enrollment fee, COSC will give you an advising worksheet, which shows exactly what they will accept.Chances are good that they will accept all these credits.

Do not let your credits determine your degree!! That is the wrong way to look at it.

Figure out what degree you want, and then try to find a school that offers what you want, and takes the credits that you have. If you can't, sometimes it's better to just forget about the credits, and go forward with your degree plans.
