My Husband is starting his journey into getting a Criminal Justice Degree. We Were interested in TESU but it would be too costly due to the Upper level courses and the 30 RA credit Requirements.
From all the advice's on here and my research on what could be our best strategy. We have decided to go with UMPI and would just like your input's on the classes and if we should make any changes here and there.
FYI; I have seen all the Post about UMPI English classes being easier, but we don't want to do more than the 10 required courses and we have chosen the upper level courses for that.

General Electives requires three levels of science FYI.
Environmental Science
Science 103 (Chemistry or Biology from Sophia.org does well)
Science 105 (study.com works)
You're also missing:
GEC 4C, introduction to Ethics, PHI 152. You can take this at Sophia
GEC 2E Art History I, ART 211
for your Free Electives, if you haven't taken Cyber 101 to 301 yet, look into doing things like Sophia's other or new classes. It'd be the best cost savings.
I know you don't want to do Eng Comp II at UMPI, the difference between Sophia and UMPI is quite drastic in UMPI's favor, in UMPI's favor. You can also CLEP Eng Comp I and II.
for HUM 103 you may want to ask but I think Study.com's Art 103 History of Western Art I and Humanities 201: Critical Thinking & Analysis may work.

If you can't CLEP due to closed testing centers and you don't want English Comp at UMPI, I would highly recommend the TECEPs over Sophia if you can afford it. Sophia's English Comp (especially II) is a bit of a nightmare. You can do it, but it's not easy.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

I have been just completed my first semester (summer session 2) with UMPI as a Criminal Justice Major. In total, I took 7 classes and now just await grades. In the main time, I will start the fall semester on Monday, August 30 and hope to complete at least 10 classes this session.

Just curious, but has anyone completed the Criminal Justice program at UMPI? It seems like it could be a compelling option for some users, but I haven't seen any updates about it. I was wondering which other courses may transfer in within the core (TEEX?), or if the field experience is required.

Most TEEX courses come in as LL computer science electives. I'll check on the field experience requirements for you. I have sent an email to my advisor to check on this for you. If you search the forum, I believe there has been someone who was working on this degree.

I have sent you a PM about the field experience.
