I wanted to tell you that I asked this question because people often email me and ask me which K-12 curriculum works best for exam credit, and frankly, I don't have a clue. I used college level text, REA, IC, Khan, etc. like everyone here. So, this has been really helpful as a means of sharing that info to those who feel more comfortable in K-12 books.

For Psychology we used: Myers Psychology Text, Education-Portal and of course Instantcert. We also pulled in a lot of videos and documentaries that we found by Googling as we went along. The Myers Psyc text is very interesting. Education Portal coincided with the instantcert flashcards. It worked great!

I used ABeka for English, History, and Science, and both BJU and VideoText Interactive Algebra for College Algebra. For each CLEP exam, I also studied a study guide or college textbook and took practice tests. Therefore the high school curriculum was not the only resource, but I did rely on the HS textbooks, especially for History, Science, and Literature (which also relied on much reading throughout the years).

Does anyone have a good math suggestion besides Saxon? We've used Saxon mainly (little bit of Lifepac) and then migrated into ALEKS and Khan. I'm not really familiar with the other math options. In my experience, you'll find a plethora of elementary and middle school maths, but for whatever reason, it all drops off around Algebra. I've heard several use Singapore, but I'm at a loss?

Teaching Textbooks http://teachingtextbooks.com/ The precal textbook correponded to the CLEP college mathematics exam quite well. The algebra textbooks were good for the CLEP college algebra exam. That's all I've used and it worked well enough for me.

My family has always used Math-U-See and we really like it. Their books go all the way through Pre-Calculus. I only went through Algebra 2. The curriculum uses workbooks as well as videos that either the teacher can watch and then teach the student or the student can watch themselves to learn the new concepts. They also use manipulatives to help visually teach the concepts. Here's their website..... Math-U-See | Complete K-12 Math Curriculum. My mom only bought one of their books brand new. The rest she found at used book sales.

We used Apologia Exploring Creation with Biology for our main preparation for the Biology CLEP. We also used it for preparation for the Natural Sciences CLEP (which is half biology & half physical sciences/chemistry), in addition to Apologia Physical Science... Our chemistry background for the exam was Apologia Chemistry also.

I want to ask this in a respectful way, but for those of you using creation based science, how do you deal with the evolution questions? Do you study it as a theory or do you just skip it? PLEASE, THIS IS NOT A RELIGIOUS QUESTION! I don't need others chiming in debating this issue, I'm asking a specific question about a specific aspect of a specific exam content area. Thanks
