ProctorU has gotten so bad that I also had to do the pen/paper test. I didn't have a problem with ProctorU in 2018 and 2019 from what I remember, but starting in 2020, it didn't work at all on my computer even though nothing changed.
Highly recommend going to the library and just doing it there if it's possible.
