Just curious. I started about 6 days ago and I still barely have 50 of the 389 topics covered..I think it's 389. I did an initial assessment and have been plugging along slowly..putting in an average of 1.5ish hours per day over last 6 days and others said they completed it in a night or a week...I feel like I have a long time coming.

Aleks is based on your eval. You have to request a new eval to find out where you sit. People are getting it done in 1 1/2 hours because they got over a 70% on the intake eval.

Oh I guess that's not me ..booo..I have never taken a pre-calc class. Basically teaching it to myself. I'm actually embarrassed to say what I got on the assessment. I think I was at 20% if I am reading correctly.

Here is a Mathway
Mathway: Math Problem Solver
This might help. The only way to get through the math and get credit for it is with assessments. You have to have a 70% or above on an eval to be able to report it to ACE for credit. Please read the Aleks thread to get more information on how this process works.

I'm doing the stats one, is taking a bit of time (over 12 hours logged so far) and I'm at 50%. Started out pretty low on stats (19% I think) so long journey to the end.

Learning precal will take longer than reviewing precal. The people who finish in a short amount of time already know a good chunk of the info- they are simply reviewing and assessing. If I started the Precal class, I'd probably start somewhere around 1% hilarious So, it would likely take me most of a semester.
Your topics 50/389 show you at just over 12%. You'll need to know closer to 70% before you can pass an assessment at 70% or higher (generally). My children almost always end up working 3-6% beyond what their assessment is. In otherwords, in our house, to predict a 70 assessment they should have completed about 73-76% of their pie. YMMV Some people here don't do any of their pie, they just keep assessing over and over again.

Make sure you take notes by printing the answers to the practice questions to PDF files for use during the exam.
Statistics took me thirty hours and seven days to complete. I think you should try spending more time on it. Try giving a whole day to it on the weekend.

It took me about 3 months and I started at about 12%. I finished last Thursday. Just work steadily.
