TESU Eliminates SOME Study.com Transfer Credits [unconfirmed]
Huge thanks to OP and others here for bringing attention to this! I was able to work through the Study.com Intro to Operating Systems course last night and completed it right before midnight!

Missed out on completing Study.com Discrete Math and Computer Architecture, but that is fine.

If you’re pursuing computer science from tesu. Is a dbl major in liberal studies just about met as well by default ? If so would this be beneficial ?
Ba two areas of study. Computer science and liberal studies ?

It doesn't really make sense to do liberal studies and computer science. If you're going to double-major with CS, it'd make more sense to choose a different subject degree. Math is the usual pair, but psych, history, English, etc. would all work. Otherwise, don't bother to pick up the lib studies degree.

It's also not automatic. "No more than 9 credits* that are used in the first area of study may be used for the second area of study" for a Bachelor of Arts: https://tesu.smartcatalogiq.com/current/...of-Degrees
Ongoing: MLIS

June 2022, Thomas Edison State University (TESU): Second degree - BA in Computer Science + ASNSM in Mathematics + Cert. in CIS + Cert. in Operations Mgmt.
e-Packs: Computer Concepts; Industrial Psych.
Guided Study: Comp. Architecture
Online: Intro. to PLA; Database Mgmt.; Software Eng.; Data Structures; Liberal Arts Capstone; DSI-610 (Statistics.com)

May 2019, a residential, RA institution: BA in Political Science and Educational Studies
Relevant equivalencies: MAT-321; MAT-431; STA-315

Right. But cs has 21 electives. Liberal studies 30 aos. With that said 9 cs aos plus the 21 electives would meet 30 aos lib studies correct ? Or am I missing something ?

Generic BALS has 45 AOS, 45 GEN ed, 30 electives: https://tesu.smartcatalogiq.com/Current/...al-Studies

You can't get a BALS CS because more than 9 credits would have to overlap. https://tesu.smartcatalogiq.com/en/Curre...centration

You could potentially get a BALS NSM, but again it's 45/45/30: https://tesu.smartcatalogiq.com/Current/...centration

If you have to get 36 additional credits for a Liberal Studies degree, you might as well just get them in something more useful than that BALS.

Ok. That must be where I’m mistaken. I thought the aos was 30 credits.

It used to be. This is the old one: https://www.tesu.edu/heavin/ba/liberal-studies All degrees used to be about 30 credits in the AOS.

Does TESU still allow the Network TECEP as UL for part of the degree program?

Yes. It's a huge hassle to study for. It may also be one of the most expensive TECEPs due to having to take it multiple times in order to pass. But it may become necessary if students have to take LL Computer Architecture elsewhere.
