UMPI CBE IS EXPANDING
#11
I understand the strut/Brandman aspect. That would also make psychology and math more likely. Not all of the courses are strut/Brandman, however, some were entirely developed at UMPI.

UMPI doesn’t offer marketing as a major or concentration on campus as best I can tell, so there certainly is precedent for them expanding YourPace to something that is not offered on campus. That said, they do have a decent sized business program/faculty, so it’s not entirely foreign to add marketing. Finance might make sense for the same reason.
Master of Accountancy (taxation concentration), University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, in progress.
Master of Business Administration (financial planning specialization), University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, in progress.

BA, UMPI.  Accounting major; Business Administration major/Management & Leadership concentration.  Awarded Dec. 2021.

In-person/B&M: BA (history, archaeology)
In-person/B&M: MA (American history)

Sophia: 15 courses (42hrs)

I wonder if they'll just offer the "same" degrees as the Brandman counterpart if they're using the same Strut Learning Platform. Wouldn't it be easier to just "get" the same thing as Brandman and rename it or change it slightly as they did with the MAOL? Maybe they should create a partnership pack and cross enroll students if they wanted...

I'm pretty sure there is a partnership pact with UMPI, Strut, and probably some other universities that use it that we don't know about yet :O They just adjust it to their own needs.

I'm betting the main stuff like MAOL and the other degrees were developed by Strut themselves, and the programs adjust it to meet their own reqs.

The MAOL is exactly the same.

I'm honestly partially tempted to switch to Brandman after this semester for the cheaper tuition tbh, with this much writing, etc, I'll need the extra time.

Some undergrad or graduate certificates would be nice - they have enough Project Management courses to offer a certificate. I'm sure a lot of people would love to get one of those for $1400-$2800. Super useful.

I agree.

Also their Science Labs list would be amazing if they were all online options. People would sign up just to do a summer semester of science.

If it's the same degree, you're WAY better off at Brandman for it.

UMPI cost $2000/8weeks = $250/wk
Brandman $3500/24weeks = $146/wk

Even if you just did 2 terms at UMPI, you'd have been better off at Brandman.  And if you took the full 24 weeks - $3500 vs $6000

The issue with Brandman, is with them you cannot accelerate and they unlock the MAOL week by week.

With UMPI it'd take me about 8 months, $8000. With Brandman I'm expecting 3 semesters, $10800. But the payment plans are more digestable.

Oh that totally stinks that you can't accelerate at Brandman. I specifically asked about that and wasn't told they open the lessons week by week. That would really annoy me. I don't want to sit there for days with nothing to do especially since I'm paying for it. They were pretty adamant that I couldn't complete the degree in under a year which made no sense to me. Maybe this is why.
