I took both the xy and the xx version of the poli sci exam. On the Uexcel site one is marked pass ( the xy version) but the other (xx) is still saying taken.
I wonder what letter grade I made.

I took both of those exams as well; I spoke to a guy at Uexcel and he told me that the XX version would be graded before the XY version of the aforementioned exam.

swisha2k,
Did you check on the Pearsonvue/uexcel site to see if they have been marked as Pass ?
If the xx version was suppose to be graded first I wonder why mine is still listed as taken but the xy says pass.

hmmmm, that's strange. I got a pass for the XX version but the XY version is still marked as "taken". I guess they are speeding up the process and simultaneously grading them?

I see Poly Sci as a pass on Uexcel Site.
I'm looking for other Excelsior students who may have failed or done poorly. I had no idea that the results were going to be entered in as a definite grade without a transcript request.
The Uexcel site even points out that Excelsior student will have to pay for a transcript. I took the Physics and I would have never made the attempt, especially on short notice, as at the time the beta period was set to end within a couple weeks had I known the potential consequences.
Please update with any similar experiences.

rlane,
Sorry to read of your troubles.
I hope they remove the failing grade from your record. I do not recall reading anyplace that failing one of these exams would adversely affect you. I do not believe that was made clear.
Maybe it would be worth your time to search the forum for old posted info on the Uexcel exams and maybe you could make a case for not being informed of the effects of failing one of these beta exams.
I know back when they started giving these ( took both my exams in Aug 08)
I thought they were going to be pass/fail. It was only recently I saw they would be a letter grade.

cdautel... yes indeed. Your sister is great! I've heard a little about your experience. How is your journey to a degree going?
On another note... how do you find a score online? I went to the UExcel site, but didn't see where I could find the information (or login anywhere...)

Log in here:
https://www6.pearsonvue.com/Dispatcher?a...ode=UEXCEL
Then click on the link on the left entitled "View History." It will list the tests you've taken. The tests have been showing as "taken," but if they've changed to "pass" then you know you've passed it.
